What You're Agreeing To

Your Responsibilities
- Return the bike on time and in the same condition
- Lock the bike when not in use (lock provided)
- Wear the provided helmet — required for all renters
- Do not lend the bike to anyone else
- Notify us immediately if the bike is damaged or stolen
Deposits & Fees
- Security deposit: $75 held on credit card at pickup
- Late return: half the hourly rental rate, per hour past your reserved end time
- Minor damage (flat, bent accessory): $15–$50
- Major damage: assessed at cost
- Lost or stolen: replacement value charged
- Cancellations 48hr+ in advance: full refund

1. Parties
This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is between RAR Bike Shop, 900 Murphy Avenue SW Suite B5, Atlanta GA 30310 ("Shop"), and the individual renting a bicycle ("Renter"). By reserving or picking up a rental bike, Renter agrees to all terms herein.
2. Rental Period & Return
The rental period begins at pickup and ends at the agreed return time. Late returns are charged at half the hourly rental rate per hour. The Shop may retrieve the bicycle if significantly overdue. Renter is responsible for the bike until it is physically returned and inspected by staff.
3. Condition of Bike
Renter acknowledges that the bicycle was inspected and in good working condition at pickup. Pre-existing damage will be noted on the rental receipt. Renter agrees to return the bicycle in the same condition, normal wear excepted. Damage beyond normal wear is the Renter's financial responsibility.
4. Deposit & Payment
A $75 security deposit is held via credit card at pickup and released upon return in satisfactory condition. Rental fees are charged separately and are non-refundable once the rental period begins. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the rental start time are fully refunded.
5. Assumption of Risk
Renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with cycling, including physical injury, accidents, collisions, and equipment failure. The Shop, its employees, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, accident, or loss arising from use of the rental bicycle.
6. Theft & Loss
In the event of theft, Renter must file a police report and provide a copy to the Shop within 24 hours. Renter is financially responsible for the replacement value of a stolen or lost bicycle. Always lock the bike with the provided U-lock when unattended.
7. Prohibited Uses
Renter agrees not to: (a) sub-rent or lend the bike to any other person; (b) use the bike in any organized race or competition; (c) modify or alter the bike; (d) ride on surfaces inappropriate for the bike type.
8. Minors
Renters under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign this agreement. The guardian assumes all financial and legal responsibility on behalf of the minor.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Fulton County, Georgia.
10. Acknowledgment
By reserving or picking up a rental bike, Renter confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Agreement. Renter certifies they are physically capable of safely operating a bicycle and will comply with all applicable laws.
