About US

We are the Atlanta chapter of Radical Adventure Riders (RAR). RAR creates more inclusive spaces in the cycling community by moving toward enhancing gender inclusivity and racial equity in the bicycle and outdoor adventure scene. We especially seek to center the experiences of BIPOC, queer, trans, and nonbinary riders.

Meet the Team

  • Devin Cowens

    Chapter Lead

    Devin (she/her) is a connector, event planner, and advocate for BIPOC folks in cycling. She launched RAR ATL in 2019 as WTF BX ATL and is currently a member of the RAR gravel team. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, bike camping, creating community, and bringing people together. She is the person you want at the party to make sure folks are fed and feeling good. She is a Leo sun, Leo rising and Libra moon who dabbles in Scrabble and puzzles.

  • Sarah Cruz

    Sarah (she/her) moved to Atlanta from the SF Bay Area in 2017 to continue her job of ensuring access to relevant resources AKA librarianship. She’s a mom of two elderly cats and a pitty dog, paints on Sundays, and dreams of one day reaching the highest pass on every continent (so far she has done three). As a long-time bicycle commuter and hiker-at-heart, she hopes to cultivate this sense of freedom and peace that cycling provides her with her community and beyond. She believes that “what we practice at a small scale can reverberate to the largest scale*”, and is excited to make waves and devise new adventures with @rar.atlanta .

  • Hannah Griggs

    Hannah (she/her) is a New Orleans native currently residing in Atlanta. She is pursuing a PhD in literature and in her free time runs a small YouTube channel called queer cyclist.

    @queercyclist

  • Celita Williams

    Born and Baltimore but matured in Atlanta, Celita (she/they) finds peace in the outdoors. From cycling to hiking to camping to a simple rock on a porch swing, find her in the fresh air, sipping on an extra hot chai tea and dreaming of french toast. It's possible she could also fix your computer or write you a poem if you asked nicely.

  • Aiya Ross

    Aiya (she/hers) loves to explore her curiosity. From trying new bike routes and styles to delivering bread by bike, she's always looking to try new things and find the small adventures in life. If she's not riding her fixie or cargo bikes, she's probably running running town with friends!

    @korracottagecore

  • Jen Colestock

    Jen (they/them) is a big nerd. After years of using cycling as transportation and wrenching in shops, they got into long, rambling day rides that grew into solo tours and mixed-surface bikepacking races. They love cooking up routes and then forgetting to ride them. You can usually find them taking pictures of cats or sleeping in a bivy and insisting it’s comfortable.

  • Jill Hagey

    Jill Hagey

    Jill (They/Them) road cycled through the Bay Area and NorCal before moving to Atlanta in 2021. RAR combines their love of cycling and the outdoors so joining the RAR leadership team in 2022 to help make these hobbies more accessible was a no-brainer. When not biking they can be found playing soccer, wandering the woods or generally doing anything active.
